Power BI Service Refresh Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException'
Hi everyone,
I would like to request your help on finding a solution to this item. I have set up a scheduled refresh for a report connected to OneDrive.
Recently, schedule refreshes started to fail and display this error:
"Evaluation ran out of memory and can't continue.;Evaluation ran out of memory and can't continue. Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action. Table: Occupancy."
I've read that this error might occur on the desktop version as it is dependent on the individual's computer specs. But I figured that's also true for Power BI service though on a larger scale.
In total, I have 32 tables and most of them are OneDrive folders with several Excel files. Most of them are different metrics for a large group of employees and all tables have a many to one relationship to a single "Roster table".
The table mentioned on the error is the only table with over a million rows. But sometimes it would show another table casing the error.
Any suggestions on how I can improve the report in order to decrease the load on Power BI Service?

Hi there
It could possibly be if you are joining multiple tables and you have got it all running and making changes in memory.
I would suggest running the PBIX refresh on your PC and monitor the memory usage on your PC and see how memory it is consuming.
There are ways to optimize this, but it depends on many things.
