Hi Everyone,
Would be needing your advice on this.
Currently, IT team is managing our Workspace (pro type). Now, they assigned my role as "Member" already. However, i still can't see option in our workspace to create an app and manager user access. I have investigated thoroughly the settings but no avail. or ADMIN role should be assigned to perform these? I'm thinking if they configured something?
Can anyone give me some light on this? what went missing on the IT side?
Please see screenshot below
Thank you!

Hi @jbpg ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
Since your workspace type is Power BI Pro, that is completely fine. Premium capacity is not required to create or manage an app. A Pro license is enough.
The main thing to confirm now is your actual workspace role. Only Admin and Member roles can create or update an app. If you are a Contributor or Viewer, the app option will not be visible.
You can check your role by:
Go to the workspace → Click Workspace settings (top right) → Open the Access tab → See what role is shown next to your name.
If it shows Member and you still don’t see the “Create app” option, then IT may need to check tenant settings in the Power BI Admin Portal to ensure app creation is not restricted.
Please confirm what role is shown under Workspace access. That will help identify the issue.

Hi @jbpg , Admin and Member roles can create or modify the app in the workspace. Please check if you have a Pro license or if the workspace is assigned to premium capacity.

You might want to double check that you are really a Member and not a Contributor or Viewer.
Hi @bradsy as per our IT Team, they have already assigned Member role to me. not sure though on where i can see it, however, the only thing i know is that, once i have a member role, i should be able to assign user access in our workspace and create an app.
