Hello!
We have a dashboard on Power BI Service that has data coming from multiple sources. Some of the sources are stored in an on premise database, while other sources are stored in the cloud on Sharepoint. The gateway we have setup allows for the on-premise data to be refreshed just fine, but we get errors when trying to refresh the Sharepoint portion of the dashboard. How can we set up a gateway or multiple gateways to handle data coming from both on-premise and in the cloud?
Solved! Go to Solution.
when you merge data from On-Prem and SharePoint online the merge operation happen on your Gateway only thus you have to enable "Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster" option in Gateway setting.

Hello arvindsingh802,
I have merged the data from on-prem (SQL) and cloud (SharePoint), allowed "Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster".
Still my report is not getting refreshed on Power Bi service. Getting below error.
Can you please help me with this?

Hi @Anonymous,
A gateway connection is not required when connecting to Sharepoint. Are you using the Sharepoint connectors or Web connector?
