Power BI Semantic Model not syncing with Git
I am have a number of issue with the GIT sync, the main one is the semantic model shows as sync, but nothing is happening.
The samantic models that are causing issues, are ones created in service through Lakehouses.
If you see the following, the first one is a samantic model. It lists as synced, however looking at the files in git, there is nothing there.
The lakehouse also has problems syncing. It shows up in the git files, but it is missing all tables/files and metadata.
Thanks.

Hello,
I am replying to this topic because I am facing the exact same issue and there wasn't any reaction to this topic.
The workspace itself was created using a Trial license mode and a Trial user, following the Medaillon architecture tutorial provided by MS: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/onelake/onelake-medallion-lakehouse-architecture
The ADO GIT repository is inside the same region as the Fabric instance, but the permissions to commit to other regions in the tenant settings are also enabled.
Even after changing any semantic model, they are still shown as synchronized, but nothing appears in the Git repo.
In addition to this, when creating a deployment pipeline, none of the semantic models are recognized and deployed. It just creates an empty lakehouse in the target workspace.
According to the roadmap, lakehouses and semantic models GIT integration should be supported as of now.
Are there any constraints/limitations to this for Trial users?

It's not a limitation, sorry it's still not fixed, and product team have been unable to give me an ETA.
Currently there is no way that I have found to move a lakehouse semantic models from one environment to another, which is completely unacceptable for a product that was announced as GA several months ago.

This is just not ready for prime time. We cannot move forward with GIT integration nor with the pipeline because it makes no sense using a pipeline without a repository.
