Power BI Risk Dashboard

Hello,

My Power BI Risk ID Dashboard used for doing a certain type of patient screening has an option on the left called Future Appointments, which shows me which patients in our clinic will need the screening done when they come in that day.

It worked fine for a while, and it had filters for multiple NY state areas - Syracuse, Bath, and Albany. I am in Syracuse. At one point, I was trying to figure something out and made the mistake of clicking Bath. When I did that, Bath and Albany patients popped up and Syracuse completely disappeared. There wasn't even an option for the Syracuse filter anymore, just Bath and Albany, so I couldn't get it back. Then, the next day, even those disappeared and it was all blank.

Now, I have the filter back for Syracuse, but under filter by division, I should have Syracuse, Watertown 1 and 2, Rome, and Binghamton, but it only shows Syracuse and Watertown 2. Under Syracuse, in Filter by Location, I should have about 10 different clinicsbut it only shows one Syracuse clinic and one Watertown 2 clinic when there should also be at least 3 clinics in Watertown 1 and in Watertown 2, if that makes sense. So a bunch of my options no longer exist, and only a few show up when I used to show all of them. Is there a way to fix this and get all of my filters back that I originally had? So to summarize, I had multiple selections under filter by division that no longer pop up, and many multiple selections under Filter by Location that no longer pop up, and I do not know how to get them back.

I'm a newbie with all of this, so I'm sorry if this is confusing to read. I'm just wondering why all of my filters are missing and why I cannot retrieve them.

Thank you for any help you might offer.

Hi @TracyP ,

If you are a report user then on top of the report you will be having option called -reset filters you can click on it.

If you are using power bi desktop app then you need to open filter pane and need to check visual level filters or page level filters to identify the issue. If you are still unable to find the issue then you need to open transform data and need to check whether any of your applied steps blocking the data or expected data is not coming from the source.

I hope it will be helpful.

Thanks,

Sai Teja

Thank you Sai,

I am using the Power Bi desktop. Please forgive me, but I am unable to find the filter pane. I have filter by facility, filter by division, filter by date, etc., but when I open those, there are no options to check or change the visual level or page filters. I'm not sure what I'm missing or if I'm looking in the wrong place.

Hi, @TracyP

You should find the button in the top right corner of the slicer in your report to clear filtering:

In this way it will be restored. If your slicer is affected by other slicers, you should follow the instructions above to clear the option to clear all slicers so that you can see all the items.
