Power BI Reports visuals have error
Hi,
I created a Power BI report from a semantic model that takes in data from a lakehouse hosted in a different workspace. I can see the report and its visuals, but when I share it with other workspace admins, they run into errors on the visuals.
I've added screenshots of the errors they see.
I've also checked the Metrics and columns of the lakehouses and everything is working as expected for me.

Since the report is on another workspace you need to give access to the lakehouse to the other users that are on the report workspace.
The users to see the data need to have access to that data so you need to setup the correct configurations, if you are doing it at report level only you need to manually add the users to the lakehouse and semantic model permissions.

If you create an organizational app within that specific workspace this will be automatically handle by the service.

MFelix is correct that the issue is permissions. Because the semantic model in your report workspace is pulling data from a Lakehouse in another workspace, every viewer must also have at least Reader access to the Lakehouse workspace, plus read permissions on the semantic model itself. Cross workspace access isn’t inherited and apps don’t fix it. Until users have access in both places, the visuals will fail with missing/broken field errors because the model can’t resolve the underlying tables when they query it.
