Hi all
Good morning.
When I open the semantic model in Power BI service, the report is not located within it, even though the model is created from the report.
Rather it seems I need create a new report.
Can someone explain this
I see the two artifacts: the Report and the Semantic model.
Within the semantic model, the report doesn't exist. I am required to create a new report within the Semantic model.
How do I get the first artifact into the semantic model?
Hi @Shimonkepha
It sounds more like you're dealing with thin reports. The report is located in a workspace different than where its semantic model is. In your case sounds like one of them is located in My Workspace, check the lineage of the report to identify the locations

Ok, Can you check the lineage view and see what is the dataset to which your report is pointed to?
@Shimonkepha
Once you publish the pbix into Power BI service, you will find two artifacts in the workspace. One is the dataset (semantic model) and the other one is report. I guess some one would have deleted the report in your case. You will need to verify the power bi audit events to find the root cause.
