Hi, I have been using Power Bi workspace and on-premises for more than 2 years. I notice the loading speed on the Report Server (workspace) has decreased significantly recently. The same report used to load instantly but now it takes longer than 5 mins to load (No change in the original PBI file). My internet speed is pretty good and I have multiple users reported this issue to me as well. The workspace system storage only have 752MB used of 10GB (7.34%).
Not sure if it was just us. Anyone also experience this? Thank you in advance.

Hi @Chenp
What can happen is if the report is not used for a period of time (I am not sure how long) it will then take the report out of memory. Then when a user wants to use it again it takes a bit of time to load it back into memory but after that the report is then fast.
Could this be happening?

@GilbertQ It can be but does this reset every day? Ever since I noticed this issue, I have been going into the workspace and opening each report to see the loading speed. Initially it loads forever (I have like 10 different reports and I will spend like 2 hours and nothing would load) and then until I give up, it will suddenly load everything instantly. It is very strange and it was never this way before.
Hi @Chenp
Could you double check to make sure that your model is optimized to be as small as possible?
I can only think there might be a change if something new has been added to your PBIX file.
@GilbertQ Thank you so much for helping. I have accepted your first response as solution.
