Power BI Report/Dataset Sizes - for All reports
Hi
I know how find out the sizes of dataset sizes of reports which using the following method -
Ideally we would like to look at the dataset sizes of all report across all of our workspaces so we can see which reports are largest and then start at approaching people about tuning there datasets if necessary - so would like this in a report which we can see rather than checking every single workspace for this information.
Another admin gave me access to a capacity metrics report with storage but it is only showing 2 workspaces and not really helping?
Should I install the capacity metrics app and then investigate that way? Or is there are another way to look in the admin portal.
Thanks
Karen

Hi KarenL7
If you have Power BI Admin rights you can install The Fabric Capacity
- Metrics App > Apps > Search "Micorosft Fabric Capacity Metrics"
- You will be promted to enter the Capacity ID which can be found in Power BI Admin Portal > Capacity Settings > Settings
- Then also to sign in
- Then the App will be installed
When it populates then data per workspace will be available
Hope this helps

Hi Joe_Barry
Thanks for this - the report looks familiar to one that I wsa provided access to - but only showed 2 workspaces. I will install the app - thanks -
Just as a quick question do you know if I can I set permissions on the app so it only shows for particular users?
Thanks

As a question - I looked at dataset sizes in the workspaces under > system storage - but it is showing 0mb - I understand 0mb owned by me for this workspace but not 0mb for the workspace when it is clearly not 0mb for the workspace.
Not sure if I should have started a new topic for this!
