Power BI Refresh date issue

Hi All,

For past few days we are having issues with dataset refresh.  some scheduled refresh fails due to source DB issue, but the refresh data gets updated.

1. It show the warning indicating the failure.

2. But the refresh date gets updated. ( i.e. the failure datetime displayed here).

3. Refesh date use to show last successful refresh.

This is leading to confusion of when the data got refreshed.  Anyone else facing this ?

I am not sure why that is happening.

I always get the last refresh date from my data source, so I can rely on it always being accurate.

If you are getting your data from a source DB that might be an option for you?

Hi,

I'm reporting issue on the date shown on "Refreshed" column under Datasets.

It use to show last successful refresh so far, but last few days even if the refresh fails this is getting updated ( with warning indicator)

P.S.: I got you point on using date from source DB. We do use it within reports as necessary to inform user on updated date.

Hi there

I see what you are saying and not sure why that is wrong.

As long as the data is being refreshed I like to rely on the date from the source system, which is accurate to the data being reported.
