We are experiencing refresh issues when refreshing datasets from the Power BI Service, with and without the gateway.
I have multiple customers who are experiencing this issue starting last weekend (Saturday 12-03-2022).
1 out of 3 (approximate) datasets refreshes fail and this seems to be happening random.
This is happening at multiple tenants in the West-Europe region (Netherlands).
The gateway is on the latest version for datasets that use the gateway, also non-gateway datasets don't work in some cases.
Workaround is to restart the refresh of the dataset and in some cases restart the gateway, the Power BI Support page doesn't say there are any issues in our region.
We are curious if we are the only one that are experiencing these inadequate refresh-issues.
Errormessages we get also seem to be random:
<Dataset> has failed to refresh.
Failure details: There is no available gateway.
<Dataset> has failed to refresh.
Failure details: Your data gateway is offline or could not be reached. Ensure the computer running the gateway is on during the refresh period.
<Dataset> has failed to refresh.
Failure details: There's not enough memory to complete this operation. Please try again later when there may be more memory available.
<Dataset> has failed to refresh.
Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.

The issues seem to be resolved at both tenants, cause unknown. Next time I will raise a pro ticket for these kind of issues (it has nothing to do with the gateway by the way).

Some of these errors are related to the gateway. Is your gateway installed on a server that is always running? If the computer is shut down, then the gateway installed on this computer will be offline and the refresh fails.
Also please schedule different time for refreshing. If multiple datasets are refreshed at the same time, it may lead to insufficient memory.
