Power BI Refresh From Access Database

I have connected to an access database on my power bi desktop (IMG1).

I can refresh the data on power bi desktop with the refresh button and it loads in with the latest data from the access database (IMG2).

I have then published the report so that users within our organisation can see the report and its information.

I have created a gateway but access database is not an option on the data source type drop down.

I have chosen file and put in the file path of my access database and it says connection successful.

However it will not refresh using the refresh button on the report toolbar (IMG3).

am i doing something wrong??

Hi @Ivolution93 ,

1. When you configure gateway, the file path should be the access database path, not the .pbix file path:

2. After configuring gateway for the access dartaset successfully, find the dataset and choose 'Refresh Now' or configure 'Scheduled refresh' for it, check the refresh history which show the refresh is completed.

3. Now you can click the refresh button in the report page to refresh data or refresh the browser to get the latest data in your access database.
