Power BI Refresh Failure Notifications include someone no longer with company - need to remove!
If one of my reports fails, my manager and I both get failure notifications as expected. However, there is another employee who was getting these notifications who is no longer with the company. Now when one of my dashboards fails, I get an "undeliverable" email from Microsoft for this employee. I cannot find where to remove their name so I don't get these "undeliverable" messages! P.S. I do not have access to the Admin Portal. I can only get to "Manage Gateways" and "Settings".
Here are the things I tried and places I looked, all to no avail:
1. There are no Workspace Alerts set up
2. There are no Subscriptions set up
3. I removed this person's share access from ALL dashboards and workspaces
4. I removed them from the Groups I set up for each Workspace in Outlook
5. Their email does not appear under any "Schedule refresh" for any of my datasets (example below).
6. I am the only one who has configured any of the workspaces, datasets, etc. in question. I am the sole dataset owner.
7. Their email does not appear in the Gateway Cluster Administrators list.
Where do I go to remove this person's email address that I haven't already tried?
Thanks,
Rose
Hi all.
Turns out I had an agent running in the background that FORWARDED any failure notifications to this person. So it was nothing on the Power BI Service side. It was on my end.
Problem solved!

- GilbertQSuper UserHi there
Could you see if this person's email address/account is a Admin Role in any of the App Workspaces?- RoseventuraResponsive Resident
Hi,
Yes, I checked that. This person was never an Admin and I checked all the workspaces and their name does not appear anywhere even as an Admin, Member, Contributor, Viewer. I am the only Admin for any of the workspaces in question.
Way back when I set up these workspaces, there was some place where I indicated who should get copied on the refresh notices. I only put this person's name on the list as a courtesy. Now that they left the company I can't remember where that got set up. And it's not in the "Schedule Refresh" area of Settings. As I show above, there are NO names in that space.
Thanks,
Rose

Hi Roseventura ,
If you're coming to this article from an email notification, and you no longer want to receive emails about refresh issues, contact your Power BI admin. Ask them to remove your email or an email list you're subscribed to from the appropriate datasets in Power BI.
Best Regards,
Liang
