Hello,
I have only ever used the free version of Power BI - I have never used a free trial of Power BI Pro. Now when I try to view a dashboard that I previously created and used with no problems for months, I see the error "Contains Power BI Pro content. To see this dashboard, try Power BI Pro for 60 days, or contact your Office 365 tenant administrator to purchase Power BI Pro."
Please advise.
@Daisy253 do you have RLS implemented on that dataset, it is Pro feature now and so it should be prompting you. Did you made any changes to the report / dataset and republished that also contains Pro features. Also licensing model for Power bi has changed failrly and so previously used feature may be under Pro now and so it would be prompting you.
In any case you should not worry as you should use Pro trial and at the end of 60 day period it keeps getting extended.
Show if I share a visualization that has RLS anyone that views the dashboard has to have Power BI Pro? I just implemented RLS on a dataset and shared the report with an end user and he is getting prompted to update to Power BI Pro. Why would that be the case if they are just viewing the report?
Thanks
Hi Daisy,
Maybe this has to do with recent changes for Power BI Pro license requirements?

- in the past some aspects of PRO functionality were available to FREE users - Microsoft changed it recently
