Power BI Pro and Power BI Premium per User

Hello,

I have a pro user and Premium Per user license.

First of all, I have started with Pro User and have some pro workspaces.

Then I have Premium Per user with two Premium work spaces.

IT pays two different prices for two licenses.

They are separate licenses. They wanted to delete my Pro user  license but it is not possible.

Error is " To assign a license that contains Power BI Premium per user. You must also assign one of the following service plans: Power BI pro."

They keep two licenses for two years.

Does anybody have the same experience?

Hello,

They responded and tried in different ways. We tried their suggestions but it was not possible to do that. It needs pro and then premium per user. The Microsoft agent wanted to continue but our IT department did not want to spend more time on that. I think we are not able to remove it because I have some reports and workspaces that are shared with Pro users.

We are paying for both.

It depends on what they purchased. There are two ways to get PPU. 

PPU as a standalone is $20. 

You can also buy a PPU addon for $10 to use with your Pro $9.99 license, and pay $19.99. 

You cannot delete/remove/unasign the Pro license if the PPU Addon is what was purchased.

My license is not add on. They are seperate licenses.  We should remove the pro easily when I have ppu.

We spent some days but it did not work.

Pro = 11.62 CAD / Premium 23.24 CAD

Did you try removing the Pro first, then assign the PPU? I think that is what I did last year when I got mine, but it has been a while. Should that fail, contact support. You definitely do not need Pro with the PPU full license you purchased.
