Hi,
I signed up for the Power BI Pro trial period to test the personal gateway. I did not realize this would prevent all regular users from viewing our companies dashboards since mine now had "Pro content" . Once I saw this result, I turned off the refresh, disabled the personal gateway and even uninstalled it in an attempt to reverse the Pro content feature on these active dashboards so others could view again. However, that didn't work and others still can't view the dashboards anymore.
I have tried recreating and republishing a completely new report and dashboard and even renamed all the excel spreadsheets that were its data sources so that there would be no links in the dataset to the new dashboard. However, I still see this error message that says there is Pro content when there is no pro content as defined by this article: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-power-bi-pro-content-what-is-it/ All my content is from imported Excel spreadsheets in Power BI Desktop. How do I get rid of Pro trial or nonexistent Pro content so others in my organization can view my dashboards again? Our O365 tenant did look into my subscriptions to see if he could reverse something on our end and he was unable to see a trial subscription for Pro that he could cancel to help reverse the effects of trying Pro. Is there anyway to make Power BI onlne stop looking for the personal gateway since I will not be using it anymore?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Sounds like a support issue. In the mean time, a short term fix might be to create a new O365 user with only a Free Power BI account and publish your report from there.
