Power BI Paginated Report Data Storage

Hi,

with a SSRS Paginated Report, i know i need to use only embedded datasets/datasources.  Let's say i create an SSRS report with connection to on-prem SQL server with embedded dataset.  I then publish SSRS report to Power BI service and setup gateway connection to on-prem SQL server.  Is the data from the embedded dataset stored on the Power BI Service or does the gateway create a live connection to teh source?  I am trying to figure out how SSRS paginated reports will affect premium capacity storage.

Hi there

As far as I understand it will go back to the on-prem SQL Server via the Gateway and query the data at runtime of the Paginated report.

This should not store the data in your capacity storage.
