Power BI Online return Credential Invalid Error on Anonymous Access of API URL

Hi I have an issue with an anomynous login to an API service. I can refresh from Desktop BI, but not from Online PBI.

The link has this format: https://api.mailcore.com:54832/   API KEY /  Parameteres

The link returns a JSON formatted output. The Personal Data gateway is up and running. 

It takes about 8-10 sec. before the result is ready due to the amount of data, but it retuens data both in Desktop BI and directly in  a browser. Just not in the online power bi.

In your scenario, if only one data source (https://api.mailcore.com:54832/  API KEY /  Parameters) exists in the dataset, the personal gateway is not required, the authentication method should also be set as Anonymous.

Based on my test, pass API Key at the end of the URL can be refreshed on Power BI service. Please follow this article to call https://api.meetup.com/self/calendar?key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX to see if it can be refreshed on Power BI service which is ok on my side.

Thanks. I have several other anonymnous API Web calls in other BI reports, that works fine, so I am familiar with the method, and the no-need-for-gateway. 

As mentioned, I can easily refresh when I'm in desktop mode. It only fails when I try to set up an online refresh 😞 

Could it perhaps be some timeout? It's a pretty slow refresh lots of data (approx 120.000 JSON items)
