Power BI Online Services: Matrix Visual Issue
Hello,
I am running into an issue that only occurs when seeing the report in the Online Services. I have dynamic Rows, Columns and Values that change depending on the field parameters selected.
The issue we are seeing is when expanding/collapsing fields selected, the visual flashes momentarily but does not render the expanded column. If we deselect everything and pick one column at a time, there is no issue. Sometimes the fields expand but then other times it does not. So in other words, the rows are not expanding to the next hierarchy.
Again, this is NOT happening in the Desktop version of the report.
I have tried:
* Republishing the underlying data
* Deleting the old matrix and re-reating a new one
* Deleting the old matrix and re-reating a new one but from the online service
* Updating the field parameters
* Updating relationships to make them all bidirectional, reviewing and updating only some to be bidirectional
* Re-writing field parameters and pointing to the new ones
* Show items with no data
Hopefully someone else is running into this issue or has resolved it in the past.
Any help would be appreciated.

Known bug. Supposedly Microsoft are working on a fix but you can raise a ticket too.
If you have a Pro license you can open a Pro ticket at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/newsupportticket/powerbi
Otherwise you can raise an issue at https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues .Got the same issue and don't get any workaround yet

The Matrix visual not expanding hierarchy levels in Power BI Online Services, despite functioning correctly in Power BI Desktop, is a known issue particularly when field parameters are involved, as highlighted by lbendlin . This is related to how the Power BI Service handles visuals with dynamic structures, rather than any problems with your data model or DAX code. Given that this behavior differs between platforms, we recommend submitting a support ticket to Microsoft for further assistance.Regards,
