Power BI Online Service Connectivity with On-prem Database via Gateway

Hi,

As part of Data Warehouse & BI project implementation, we need to connect Power BI Online Service with on-prem data warehouse database via gateway.

I need clarification on following

1. Apart from Power BI user license and VM cost for setting up gateway, is there any other associated cost? I need to ensure that this setup does not involve Reporting Server as it is very costly.

2. What should be optimal specs of the hardware for gateway?

Hi @ARK-86 

1. You are correct and that the only cost for setting up the gateway will be the virtual machine gateway server and a power BI pro license.
