Power BI On -Premise Gateway version downgrade

Please understand when we will going to perform uninstallation over the primary node Gateway server, will it impact cluster definition in app.powerbi.com, I mean that " while doing installation using recovery key, do we need to use existing Gateway name and Cluster name (which exists before activity) or should we do update of it with fresh name? "
Super UserHi Anonymous Downgrading is not as scary as you think. As long as you have the recovery key you will be fine.
As bcdobbs mentioned, everythihng will still be in place when you are done with the installation and select Migrate, restore, or takeover an existing gateway > Select the gateway and enter the recovery key.

Make sure the gateway members in a cluster are running the same gateway version, as different versions could cause unexpected failures based on supported functionality.
I usually Disable the gateway that's going to be migrated and then re-enable the gateway member when done.
