Power BI- Not able to schedule dataset refresh
Hello All,
1) We are consuming office 365 excel for our Power BI Dashboard
2) We are using "Web" connection to consume this data
3) We are able to pull data into Power BI Desktop
4) We are using Organizational Account for authentication for accessing web content which is excel
5) Privacy Level is None.
6) We are having free license
7) We are able to deploy the report in my workspace and report is working fine
The issue occurs when we are trying to schedule the data set refresh. We tried all the available options (Authentication method & Privacy levels) to authenticate and setup schedule refresh. But it is not working.
We are looking for solution or reason why it is happening.

The step number 2 is not correct. Where are the excel files stored ? Sharepoint online? OneDrive, you will need to change the connections in Power bi Desktop.

Excel file is stored in One Drive which we open throght office 365 whenever we need to update the data. Are you saying instead of "Web", we should use other available connectiton in Power BI to comsume this file if yes, please suggest which is best in this scanario..

Not sure which OneDrive type are you using but try this note. Know that if your files are in OneDrive of your personal then you will need to give access to the user to it, furthermore if the files in your local machine then you will need a Gateway installed on-Premise
