Power BI Licensing question

Hi,

Not sure if this kind of report sharing is allowed.

I am thining of using PowerBI Pro in our organzation to create few dashboards.  With powerBI we can embed the report by iFrame.

Is this allowed if I create a report and embed it in my CMS where multiple people (who dot have license) view the rpeort from CMS?

Thanks for looking into this.

Cheers,

Chintak

@ChintakChhapia You can do this, but you will still need to license them. You can use either of the embedded licenses to do this. Azure A sku (a lot of the documentation says you have to use the Office 365 EM sku, but that is not accurate)

Or they need a Pro license.

There is no such thing as sharing for free. Unless you share all your data to the  world with "Publish to Web" - > but that would likely get you in trouble pretty quickly if this is private company data.

@Seth_C_Bauer  Thanks for adding notes.

Sorry if I have not understood correctly, but Can you give some more details on embedded licenses?

Yes, data is private and I had though of using "Publish to Web" thinking that by "Publish to Web" I get unique embed code which I will put behind login. Is this allowed?
