Power BI Gateway version comparison

Hey folks,

Working on a request from an internal customer reagrarding October 2025 release and March 2026 (latest release) for PBI Gateway version. All the research I've conducted indicates this is a minor upgrade. 

 

No major architectural or feature shift in the gateway. Changes are mostly bug fixes, compatibility updates and backend alignment with Fabric. 

 

Can anyone confirm for me please?

    That is rather incorrect. There was a massive change in the November release that now allows for remote updates of the gateway version on all cluster members (while adding another service to monitor).
