Power BI Gateway Minimum Requirement
My server is a Windows Server 2016 Standard version with .Net Framework of version 4.8 and 64-bit operating system. Recently I have observed that the minimum operating system for the latest version of on-premise Power BI Gateway (Aug 2024 version) should be Windows Server 2019 and observed that Microsoft only supports the last 6 months version of Gateway version. Can anyone please advise if I would be able to install the Aug 2024 version without any issues to my PC which requires further approvals else could you advise if Apr 2024 version would work fine because I am not sure of the requirement to be s for Apr 2024 version.

Based on the description, the system requirements for versions released closely together do not change drastically. You need to upgrade the server operating system to meet the minimum requirements.

Hi. I'm confused, you have described a "my server", then you ask if the gateway will work in "my pc". Is that the same machine? if it matches the requirements in here it should work: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-install
If it doesn't you can try it, but you can't know for sure it will work.
