Power BI Gateway Issues

Hey all,

I'm currently trying to take over a report and dataset, but whenever I do the gateway breaks. I have admin access to the gateway, but it will not let me configure the gateway properly. When I watch my coworker take over the report, he is able to select the sources/points in the gateway and add them to the needed data sources. When I try to take over, the options to select existing sources/points do not exist, and the gateway tries to make me create new sources/points. What errors may be persisting that would not allow me to select existing sources/points?

Let me know if more information is needed. I am referring to them as sources/points because I can not find the correct term for them at this time.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi @jarwest ,

Remember that you need to add users to each data source that you want to grant access to. Each data source has a separate list of users. Add users to each data source separately.

Hi @jarwest 

Whilst you might be the Gateway Admin, you will need to add your user account to each of the data source settings under users to allow you to use the existing data sources.
