Hi,
I hope someone can help with what seems like it should be an easy solution.
I have written and published a Power BI Dashboard report for my Marketing group that they have been using for well over a year. Just this week, they reached out and asked me if they could download the data from one of the tables to excel. Despite the best efforts of myself and my support desk technician at work (who, to be fair, isn't really a Power BI specialist, but did his best), we were unable to figure out why we couldn't get this to work.
Here are the details...if anyone can provide any direction to help resolve this, I would greately appreciate it!!
Options setting in Power BI Desktop:
These are the settings in the Workspace:
As far as I can tell, these settings should allow a user (assuming they have permissions to view the report) to export the data to excel. Yet when I click on the three dots of the table header, Export to Excel is not an option.
What am I missing? This seems like it should be very straightfoward, but I have spent the last hour trying to resolve it, to no avail!
Thanks,
Kirstin
