I am afraid that AS Multidimensional live connection does not work with the Power BI WebService. Thus I think you do not need the gateway, i.e. you can not use it with MD.

Hi Bjoern,
The below documention help us to install Enterprise gateway and create datasource for MD. If we create a report using PowerBI Desktop with live connection to MD and then publish the report. It will automatically use the Enterprise gateway.
