Power BI Desktop Error: "Cannot load model" When Referencing Other Power BI Files

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering an issue in Power BI Desktop where reports referencing data from other Power BI files are not displaying any data. Here's the error message:

"Cannot load model
We couldn't connect to your model in the Power BI Service. The dataset may have been deleted, renamed, moved, or it is possible that you don't have permission to access it."

However, when I open these reports in a browser, the data displays correctly. The source Power BI files themselves can also be opened in Desktop without issues. I've already verified that the source files haven't been deleted/renamed/moved and that I have the necessary permissions. I've also tried refreshing credentials and checking for updates.

My colleague is also experiencing the same problem when referencing another Power BI file in their reports.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions on troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.
