Power BI Dataset connection and Refresh failure

Hello,

 

I have a pbix file connected to a published powerbi dataset. When attempting to refresh the dataset and a failure occures, the pbix file that has a connection with this dataset no longer shows any data! All is just blank!

Shouldn't the refresh failure, preserve the previously loaded data on refresh failure?...

If someone can explain this behavior, it would be great!

    I had to delete the dataset from powerbi.com permanently and republish it to fix this! I have no idea why!
