Power BI Dataset Refresh Error – The key didn’t match any rows in the table

Hello, I just encountered this error while trying Dataflows for the first time and this blog post is the only resource that helped me.

[Solved] Power BI Dataset Refresh Error – The key didn’t match any rows in the table | Data Awarenes...

The refresh worked in the desktop but always returned an error in the service: "The key didn’t match any rows in the table."

There are many posts in the community that talk about Excel files regarding this error and the solutions doesn't work for our case.

The solution that helped was to re-enter the datasource credentials , this way the Report/Dataset refreshes without error.

Leaving this post here so it appears if somebody searches in the community.

Hi, @PabloVR

This error occurs when there is a duplicate data in the table. To resolve the issue, remove the duplicated data[1]. If you are unable to find the duplicated data, you can try filtering the table for the value in the field mentioned in the error message. Another option would be to look into the datasource directly for the duplicated data in the primary key field.
