Power BI Dataset Excel Connection

Hello,

I have an Excel file exported from the Power BI web portal that contains an Azure Analysis Services connection to a dataset.
Before the first refresh I had to enter my organization account in a login popup. On ulterior refreshes the popup did not show up.
I am able to refresh the data. The problem is I am able to do so even after I was revoked access to the dataset.
I do not know how to clear the credentials from the connection.

I tried to:
Clear the IE and Edge cookies and cached data
Clear the IE and Edge localStorage
Remove from the Windows Credential Manager recent credentials
Go in the Excel file at Data -> Get Data -> Data source settings -> Clear Permissions

Is this a known issue?
How can I clear the credentials from the connection?

Hi @eivee

The ways you tried are the common ways.

You could also try to clear permission on Power BI side.

Or try to clear permission to the data access for the user on Azure Analysis Service side.

Best Regards

Maggie
