Power BI Dataflows Access to the resource is forbidden. Not a Issue for Power BI Dataflows (Legacy)

On Power BI Desktop I am trying to connect to a Dataflow using the Dataflows Connector. I keep getting the Access to this resource is forbidden Error.

I have tried reseting the permisions without any luck.

The Dataflow I am connecting to works perfectly fine using the Power BI Dataflows (Legacy) Connector. The dataflow source is a Data Entity sitting in a Data Lake out of D365 F&O. I am a system admin for everything.

Just wondering if there is something I can do or this is a bug in the connector?

    Hi W_S_S_1 ,

I cannot reproduce the issue.  What is the version of the Power BI Desktop?

I have also found a similar post, please refer to it to see if it helps you.

Since having this issue, two things have happened - one of them fixed the issue.

    • Left a o365 org I was a guest of, which was causing me problems on iOS, prompting me to apply info senisitivity labels to documents in my personal OneDrive.
    • Password expired this morning - I'm thinking this cleared out some cache in PBI that may have been causing an issue.

Thanks, Forgot to mention I updated Power Bi this morning to the latest version: 2.109.1021.0 64-bit (September 2022). So should be able to rule that out.

Both connector versions work with other Dataflows (F&O OData or Data Lake Files). Have isolated the issue to Dataflows built by Attach a Common Data Model folder (preview)
"Attach a Common Data Model folder from your Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 account to a new dataflow, so you can use it in Power BI."
