Power BI Dataflow size limitation - Power BI Pro

Dear,

I am facing an issue to create a dataflow, which sources the data from an Oracle view (multiple complex joins from 4 tables). It has got more than 5 milloion records and almost 10 columns. While creating dataflow, preview page itslef it throws error "Evaluation error, something went wrong". When I limit the records by having a filter (where clause in query) dataflow gets created and no issue to refresh.

We are using Pro license,

  1. Is there any dataflow size limit  or anything like that
  2. also any refresh limit , number of dataflows across workspace. I am aware 8 times per day per dataflow is there

What ae the other options if it doenst work.

Thanks.

Pro dataflows are constrained in size by the 10GB shared capacity constraint, each entity has to refresh within 2 hours and the entire dataflow has to refresh within 3 hours. 5 million records with 10 columns is not a lot unless you have huge varchar columns with very high cardinality.

In any case these limitations should not affect your experience while authoring, but Pro dataflows are not a very scalable ETL platform. Could you try materializing your view in Oracle?
