Having used Power BI Dataflows for several months now while connected to a managed ADLG2 instance, we've found that we have many snapshops per dataflow entity in our Data Lake. I've looked and looked but not seen any option to limit the number of items to store. We don't need every snapshot but rather the last N per dataflow. Is there any place to set this? Here is an example of what we see in our datalake.
And here is another post with a similar question that was never answered...
Dataflow and Snapshot - Microsoft Power BI Community
Solved! Go to Solution.
These snapshots generated using dataflows with BYOS ADSL are super useful but this feature is under documented. I haven't used it yet, but ADLS lifecycle management may be a good place to start to deal with these ever-growing snapshots:

Thank you! This is helpful. I wasn't looking in the storage area for a solution but rather the Dataflow documentation but this makes sense. I will be trying out various options today with different policy definitions. Thanks again!
