Hi,
We currently have a Power BI Dashboard built using Direct Query to Azure Data explorer(Custom KQL). There is only one authentication option I can see i.e., OAuth2 Organizational. In order to deploy this and release it to broader audience, we want to create a service account that connects Power BI to ADE or ADX. what should I request from our Cloud Azure team is it Service Principal or a generic org account without MFA?
Please provide the best practices on this topic.
Thanks,
I have found that a generic org account without MFA works best. Trying to get it working with a Service Principal in theory can work but could take quite a bit of time to try and get it working.
@GilbertQ Thank you for your prompt response !

Is there any documentation that would enable to gain understanding around this option because when I connect to ADX the only option I see is Org Account, do I need to connect using some other method like using API or something for the Service Principal to work ?
You would have to create an organizational account without MFA enabled.
