Power BI Capacity metrics refresh affects report refresh ?

Hi, 

We have 5 reports in Prod and we refresh them in the sequence to avoid deadlocks. We also have premuim capcity metrics report and we wanted to schedule the refresh of capacity metrics report every half hr, so , if we do that will it cause any deadlock when reprot gets refresh or that is totally independent ?

It depends on your capacity and if you have switched your SKU to Gen2. In general though it is independent. You may miss data of refreshes that are in flight but there is no locking (unless you run on a P1 with lots of concurrent load and no Gen2). Check your Query Wait stats.
