Hi everyone,
I would like to know if it is possible with the Power BI Automation Tools extension to change the data source of a report from one workspace to another?
And if we can deploy a dataflow from one workspace to another?
Of course automatically !
Thanks in advance
Charline

Hi @Anonymous ,
I think you can achieve the above needs through rest api.
For example, first call the following command via the rest api to get the dataflow information corresponding to the currently created dataflow. Then create a new dataflow based on this dataflow in a new workspace.
GET https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/{groupId}/dataflows/{dataflowId}/datasources
The same is true for finding the data source corresponding to a report and then creating the report in another workspace.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @Anonymous
This can be done by updating the data sources using the Power BI REST APIs
Datasets - Update Datasources In Group - REST API (Power BI Power BI REST APIs) | Microsoft Docs
Then you could download the PBIX (If you can) and then upload it to the new App Workspace with the additional APIs which you can find in the link above.
