Power BI ArcGIS and Sharepoint

Hello everyone. I have a web map (ArcGIS Online) published to Power BI, but when I publish the Power BI service in Sharepoint, the map is not displayed.

hi @vsn_alt2000 ,
try out the below steps

If you're experiencing issues with displaying a web map from ArcGIS Online within a Power BI report that is published to SharePoint, there could be several reasons for this problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue:

1. **Check Map Visibility Settings**:
- Ensure that the web map in ArcGIS Online is shared publicly or with the appropriate audience. If the map has restricted sharing settings, it might not display in Power BI or SharePoint, especially if users do not have permission to view it.

2. **Verify Data Connection**:
- Confirm that the data connection between your Power BI report and the web map in ArcGIS Online is still valid. If there are changes to the map's URL or authentication requirements, you may need to update the connection details in Power BI.

3. **Update Permissions**:
- Check the permissions of the Power BI report published in SharePoint. Ensure that users who need to view the report have the necessary permissions. Additionally, make sure the web map's sharing settings are compatible with the permissions of your SharePoint site.

4. **Embed the Web Map Using URL**:
- In Power BI, you can embed web content using a URL. To display the ArcGIS Online web map, you can use the "Web content" visual in Power BI Desktop and provide the URL of the web map as the source. This method can sometimes work more reliably than the built-in ArcGIS visualizations.

5. **Test Outside SharePoint**:
- To isolate the issue, test the Power BI report outside of SharePoint. Publish the report to the Power BI Service and check if the web map displays correctly there. If it does, the issue might be related to SharePoint settings or compatibility.

6. **Compatibility with SharePoint Version**:
- Ensure that the version of SharePoint you are using supports the embedding of Power BI reports with ArcGIS maps. Compatibility between Power BI, ArcGIS, and SharePoint can sometimes vary depending on versions and configurations.

7. **Review Browser Settings**:
- Test the report in different web browsers to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, browser security settings can affect the display of web content. Ensure that JavaScript and other required features are enabled in your browser.

8. **SharePoint Modern vs. Classic Experience**:
- Depending on whether you are using the modern or classic experience in SharePoint, the behavior of embedded content can differ. Make sure you are using the experience that aligns with your embedding requirements.

9. **Contact Support**:
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft Power BI support or your organization's IT support for assistance. They can help diagnose and address any specific configuration or compatibility issues.
