Power BI Apps should only contain Reports and Dashboards but no Dataconnection

Hi

We are actually working on some apps for our Platform.

Our connected users allready have a connection to an dataset. Now we would like to deploy Apps that only contain Reports and Dashboards but no addl, dataconnection. The reports should use the Dataset that is allready there (so no new dataconnection due to the app. We actually can not find a way to deploy a app without also add the dataset.

The reason why is that every user has same datastructure but different data in the dataset.

@AxelF Regardless of whether or not the end users have access to the same datasource, and created a dataset in their workspace, the content that you share with them will always use your (report authors) dataset. You can't share reports/dashboards that hook into the end user dataset.

This almost sounds like you should be using Row Level Security in your dataset so that the end users only see the information that belongs to them...

Unless this is a wildly different use case.
