Power BI App permissions

This might be a red herring. On Premium capacity users do not automatically get access to a report even if you added them to the app. There is a silly intermediate step where the user needs to "install" the app (basically register with the service) before they THEN can click on the report link. Is this what they are experiencing?
We use PDLs extensively (including nested PDLs) and they work fine.

The Power BI APP is set to automatically install, what do our users need to do to access the app then?

Really? I am curious what made you choose that option?
In that case you are correct - it should work as you expect. I would recommend you raise a Pro ticket with Microsoft.

I'believe it's fixed. It was set to automatically install in the APP settings but not to automatically push to end users in the tenant settings (it was, but not to the correct groups). Thanks for the help, otherwise I wouldn't have found it. We only have one APP that all users use, our users aren't that tech savvy.
