Power BI App permissions
Hello, I have recently had an issue with the permission groups. Some users don't have access to the app even though they are in a group that has permission. Once I've added their specific e-mail they do receive access, which is very odd. I currently only have 10 groups or so in my permissions set, I do not exceed the maximum. I've tried not using nested groups (groups within groups) but this didn't help the situation either.
Edit: To add, it's set on a premium capacity so free users can access it.
This might be a red herring. On Premium capacity users do not automatically get access to a report even if you added them to the app. There is a silly intermediate step where the user needs to "install" the app (basically register with the service) before they THEN can click on the report link. Is this what they are experiencing?
We use PDLs extensively (including nested PDLs) and they work fine.

The Power BI APP is set to automatically install, what do our users need to do to access the app then?

Really? I am curious what made you choose that option?
In that case you are correct - it should work as you expect. I would recommend you raise a Pro ticket with Microsoft.
