Power BI Add on for MS Office (Excel)

Dear Team,

Would it be possible to read Power BI datasets in Excel using an add-on ?

We are using Power BI desktop for all development and Power BI SaaS for collaboration. This question on excel add-on for Power BI was a question that popped up during one of our meetings.

Appreciate if you could let us know if this is feasible. We may not use this Excel for report development as a long term solution, trying to learn about this capability (if it exists) as part of exploratory work.

the Excel Add-in you are looking for is called "Power BI publisher for Excel" (don't get confused by the name), you find the general description here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/publisher-for-excel.
