Power Automate button not working in some embedded Power BI reports

I have a Power BI file which contains a Power Automate button to trigger a flow. The file is integrated in a custom website using the Embedded URL taken from the Power BI Service.

So, we have referred the Microsoft documentation which states that Power Automate button will not work in the Embedded Analytiics tool but nothing is mentioned about normal Embedded URL.

But yesterday we have noticed that the button in some reports is working fine whereas in some reports its not working this goes for both in Power BI service and the Embedded URL.

Hi @Anonymous,

As far as I know, the Power Automate visual is not supported in these cases:

  • The visual isn't supported for embedded analytics.
  • The visual doesn't work in Publish to Web (public) scenarios.

So for your question, please try the following ways to troubleshoot:

  • Open the related report in power bi desktop, then check if the visual works well.
  • If it does not work, please update to the latest desktop version then compare again.
  • If it does work, please re-publish the report to power bi service to check the result.
  • Alternatively, you could also clear the browser cache to see if the issue persists.
  • Finally, we suggest you edit the visual in power bi service, e.g. by removing and re-adding them.

Best regards,

Joyce
