Power Apps visual takes forever to render
Hello,
for at least a week now I've been having a problem with a couple of Power Apps in my Power BI report. I use native Power Apps visual and everything works just fine in Power BI Desktop. However, in Power BI Service something is messed up and I cannot find the cause.
Here's the situation. When I open a page with a Power Apps visual, the visual is just blank, as if there was no visual at all in here. After some time (15-40 seconds, no precise rule) the app pops up. The weird thing is that during this time there is no app name/progress bar displayed – it's like the app has already loaded, but it took some more time to... render? I don't know to call it. Anyway, I can also "force" the app to show up, simply by manipulating any of the filters on that page – when I do that, the app magically shows up.
Clearly the app loading too much data isn't the issue. I've also checked the query behind the Power Apps visual – it takes just 31ms to execute, so that's not it. As I wrote earlier, the app has been working fine for serveral months. It wasn't until last week or two when it started.
Does anyone have idea what may be causing the issue?

If not, I would suggest to log the issue with Microsoft and providing your scenario (including “force” refresh resolving the blank).
Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately, the issue still persists even when I removed all the other visuals from the entire report. Also, I have the same app embedded on different pages of that report and every single one of them renders very slowly.

Possible Causes and Workarounds:
- Known Rendering Delay in Power BI Service
There have been recent reports of delayed rendering of Power Apps visuals in the Power BI Service, especially after updates to the Power BI platform or Power Apps integration.
Workaround:
Force a refresh of the visual by triggering a slicer/filter change, as you’ve already discovered.
Add a dummy visual (e.g., a card or KPI) that is bound to the same data as the Power Apps visual. Sometimes, this forces the page to load all visuals more consistently.- Browser or Network Caching Issues
Sometimes, browser caching or network latency can delay the loading of embedded content like Power Apps.
Recommendations:
Test in different browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) and in incognito/private mode.
Clear browser cache and cookies.
Ensure third-party cookies are not blocked, as Power Apps visuals rely on them.
Check for any browser extensions that might interfere with embedded content.- Power Apps Visual Version or Embedding Issues
The Power Apps visual is a live embed of the app. If the app or the visual is using deprecated features or if the app has recently been updated, it might cause rendering issues.
Suggestions:
Reinsert the Power Apps visual in Power BI Desktop and republish the report.
Ensure the Power Apps visual is up to date in Power BI Desktop (check for updates).
Test with a simplified version of the app to isolate whether the issue is with the app complexity or the visual itself.If the issue persists, how said MattiaFratello consider raising a support ticket with Microsoft
- Known Rendering Delay in Power BI Service
I have exactly the same issue as WOPIC . I've tested with a minimal test Power app with just two controls embedded in a new Power BI report with only one page and I get the same problem in different tenant environments, different browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) and different PCs. Even with this minimal app and report it takes around 15-20s to show the embedded app.

Experiencing the same issue and the text in blue is the workaround provided to us by MS Support.
Known Issue: Power BI customers across regions may experience delays of 10 to 15 seconds when loading PowerApps Visuals embedded within Power BI reports in web browsers.
Workaround: As a workaround user can resize the browser window to a smaller size to ensure the PowerApps visual embedded in Power BI reports loads correctly. Also, users can use the Firefox browser to load the PowerApps visual embedded in Power BI reports.
