Hi,
We have a PostgreSQL database, which is hosted behind a firewall, and I am trying to connect to it through via an on premise data gateway, installed on my computer, to PowerBI service (connection type PostgreSQL). However, every time I try to do it, I see the following error:
I have installed Npgsql version 4.0.10.0 with GAC as others have suggested (using https://github.com/npgsql/npgsql/releases/tag/v4.0.10), then restarted my computer and the gateway itself, but it still isn't working.
Can someone please help and explain what I am doing wrong, as it is incredibly frustrating that it isn't working.
Thanks,
Tim
Can you try and connect to your database from the Gateway server?
I would log into the Gateway server and try and connect from there. Typically there is something to be changed or an access update to the firewall for the gateway server.
