Possible to refresh data without having to turn on pc

Hi All, 

I have just established personal gateway inorder to scehdule refreshes to power bi online from the AX Cube using a server name. I understand that in order for the refresh to happen, my pc has to be turned on and have internet connection. The question is, is there some kind of connector available that allows me to avoid having to turn on my pc all the time? As naturally, i will be on holidays and wont be at work all the time.

Hi, i'm sorry but yes. The thing is that is you have onpremise data. You must have a pc (any pc) that can connect to data with the gateway installed. When your data is in the cloud you don't need a gateway.

If you don't want to turn on the pc each time, think about a server or a vm that is in the network and can see data to configure a gateway there, otherwise you will turn on pc each time.
