Pop up first time user opens report

Hi,

My organization uses Power BI embedded (100 persons). I want to know if it is possible that when an user opens a report, he or she will get a pop up with information about the report. The pop up should only be visible the first time someone opens the report and the first time someone opens the report after some changes have been made.

Is it possible to do that in Power BI or should it be done another way?

Thank you! Need help!

  • Hi Anonymous ,

There is nothing inheret to Power BI that allows for this functionality.  The way that I resolve this issue is to add an initial tab - a Cover Page.  In that page I put the information for the users.  And, since I know that this page can be overlooked.  I will sometimes add a button/link/icon that says something like "View Instructions" or whatever on other report pages so that they will go back and read the cover page.
