Hello everyone, need some help:
I was asked by the management to build dashboards for every departments. I have built some dashboards by pulling data from SQL and salesforce.
Now I have some questions:
1. The management do not want to pay for pro license for everyone. So, how can I share my dashboards for all the directors? I heard that using an app may help?
2. The management want to view the dashboards on mobile app. How to do that?
3. How to ensure that data are autofreshing itself when they are viewing the dashboard so everything is updated ? I do not want to go to my power bi service page everyday to update data and dashboard.
4. The CEO wants a hierarchical of viewing permission. For example, CEO says all the dashboards, CFO sees only finance related dashboard, all other Directors see their own dapartment's dashboard. To sum up, to control who sees what.
Sorry for throwing so many questions here, but this is a real business pain point I want to solve here. Thank u thank u so much for your help. I appreciate if u can answer all my 4 questions in point form as well.
Thank you!

Hi @ht2567306 ,
1. You may take a look at Power BI Premiun license.
With Premium, anyone, whether they're inside or outside your organization can view your Power BI content including paginated and interactive reports without purchasing individual licenses.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-premium-what-is#unlimited-content-sharing.
2. Below is the offical document about Power BI mobile apps, hopefully works for you.
3. I believe you are looking for sechduled refresh in Power BI.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/refresh-scheduled-refresh.
4. This sounds like like Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI.

@ht2567306 - Please see this post - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Power-BI-Licensing-in-Pictures-Updated/ba-p/1291304
thank you for the link tho.
@ht2567306 - Depends on what you mean by app. There is a Power BI "App" which is a way to share multiple assets in the Service. There is the Power BI Mobile App (free to use) but is really intended to be used against the Service. You can create a mobile view of your report in Desktop and you can browse that from a mobile phone.

Hey bro, for "app", I meant the "publish app" on the top right button of a workspace.
Can I share the publish app without a receipient who does not have pro license? Does it auto-refresh for me?
Thank you!
@ht2567306 - No. Sharing is a Pro only feature, with an App or without an App (direct report sharing)
@Greg_Deckler
Hey bro, can you talk a little bit about creating creating an app to share?
I heard it is also free and it can be used in mobile app.
