Pivot column - Update

Hi, 

 

I have a report where I am using Pivot Columns feature to get Week numbers as columns. I am fetching data from database. 

My question is , will power BI create new column for a new week ? 

 

My observation is auto refresh from gateway is not adding the new week as a new column. If I donwload the model , and update the table manually then it adds new column.

 

Is there is anty way to make this process automatic ?

    Hi there

    When pivoting the columns make sure that you are using the right pivot action.

    Depending on which pivot action you use will depend on how it pivots the data going forward. As there are 3 pivot options. So just test and see which one works for you.

    Also ensure that your On-Premise gateway has the latest version installed. Because when you refresh via the Gateway there is a Query editor embedded within the Gateway. So if it's an older version it will not know how to Pivot the data
